N.Y.I.D.E. news Sean McLeod & Jerami Kipp perform at National Museum of Dance, at Exhibit Opening of "Smoke and Mirrors" "Smoke & Mirrors" is a careful articulation of two whimsical elements merged with the warmth, breath, and substance of the human body. Andrew manipulates smoke and mirrors with the bodies of his subjects to show the tension between substance and lack thereof. This exhibit features renowned dancers such as Sean McLeod (NY Instituted of Dance & Education), Desmond Richardson (Complexions Dance Company), Jamie Walker (Paul Taylor), and Jackie Bulnes (Martha Graham Dance Company)." The performances began with heart-warming and inspirational tales from Mark Andrew on how he met each performer and how each relationship has blossomed since. McLeod and Kipp kicked off the performances for the evening, followed by Jamie Walker of Paul Taylor Dance Co. and concluding with Lloyd Knight and Jackie Bulnes of the Martha Graham Dance Co. ![]() |
