Saturday featured the Harriet Tubman Freedom Awards, with a celebratory gospel brunch at the Auburn Holiday Inn honoring 10 people from around the state and beyond who have exemplified Tubman’s spirit through their careers and community involvement. That evening, the Harriet Tubman Freedom Music Festival took place for the third year, this time at the Harriet Tubman National Historical Park on South Street. Kudos to Sean McLeod and his team at the Kaleidoscope Dance Theatre and New York Institute of Dance and Education for making those events shine.
